Toronto Police are turning to the public to help identify three people wanted for an assault near York University more than a month ago.

Police said officers responded to a call for an assault on Aug. 2 at approximately 2:25 a.m. in the Steeles Ave. W. and Keele St. area.

According to police, a male victim was parked in a parking lot south of the intersection when an unknown male suspect approached and engaged him in a conversation.
Cops allege the first suspect and two other unknown male suspects began assaulting the victim. However, witnesses in the area helped stop the assault.
All three suspects left the area in an unknown direction, police said. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The first suspect is described with short brown hair and beard, wearing a silver or gold necklace with a chain, black t-shirt, white or light grey jeans, and a grey and black crossbody bag.

The second suspect is described with short brown hair and beard, wearing a grey baseball cap, grey short sleeve button-up shirt that was unbuttoned with a black t-shirt underneath, and dark blue or black pants. He also has a tattoo covering his right forearm.
The third suspect is described with curly brown hair and goatee, wearing a black t-shirt, and grey pants. Has a full sleeve tattoo on left arm and tattoos on his right forearm and right bicep.
