Rap superstar Drake has shared his condolences following the shooting death of an east-end rapper identified by area residents as Ytn Paco.

One suspect has been charged following the targeted hit on the Scarborough musician.

Det.-Sgt. Phillip Campbell, of the Toronto Homicide Unit, said Tuesday that Shakur Campbell-Sergeant, 23, was gunned down at the rear of a townhouse complex at Galloway and Kingston Rds., around 10:20 p.m. Monday.
“We believe there was planning and deliberation,” said Campbell, in relation to the shooting.

He said a suspect had been charged with first-degree murder but refused to provide that person’s name or age.
“We have made one arrest in relation to this investigation. And we have one suspect that is still outstanding,” said Campbell.
Meanwhile, Drake posted to his Instagram Stories two photos of Ytn Paco along with the caption “More life my brother … for ever and ever.”.

A Facebook group called Impact ’n Communities — run out of 4301 Kingston Rd. — paid tribute to Paco and showed a black-and-white image of him with his hands folded in prayer.
A text read, “mother sad day for the South side this young man was part of IMPACT ’n Youth Drop-in and out other various programs before making it into music.”
“He was well liked and was trying to get his music career on track. No matter the hurdles. Paco always came up on top. You will be missed young legend R.I.P. PACCO”
This was Toronto’s 32nd homicide of the year. Last year at this time, Toronto had recorded 63 homicides.
