Suspect sought after 2 men in their 20s rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds

Two young men were hospitalized with critical injuries after a shooting Sunday afternoon in Scarborough.
Toronto Police said they responded to reports of a person with a gun Sunday at about 5:15 p.m. in the Tansley Ave.-Danforth Rd. area, where officers found two men in their 20s suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said both victims were rushed to a hospital via an emergency run and were still in critical condition as of Sunday evening.
“It appears at the time that this was a targeted shooting,” Insp. Jeff Allington said at a news conference, via CP24.

Allington said they are looking for a Black man who is about 5-foot-10 and was wearing all-black clothing at the time. He fled in a light-coloured vehicle.
“People can expect an increased police presence in the neighbourhood for the next few hours and possibly the next few days,” Allington said, as police had closed Tansley at Danforth and Seminole Ave. west of Danforth for the investigation.
