Toronto Police have turned to the public to help identify a man wanted for attempting to break into a home near Christie Pits early Wednesday morning.

Police said officers responded to a call Wednesday for a break and enter in the Christie St. and Yarmouth Rd. area, south of Dupont St.

It is reported that, at approximately 2:50 a.m., the suspect was captured on video attempting to enter a residence through a rear door.
Police said the suspect then sprayed the surveillance camera with an unknown substance.
He did not enter the home and eventually fled the area, cops said.

Man, 26, wanted for armed robbery in downtown park
Investigators believe the same individual may also be responsible for a separate residential break and enter that occurred nearby around the same time.
Images of the suspect has been released by investigators.
