Former prime minister Justin Trudeau and pop-star Katy Perry weren’t holding back as they packed on the PDA in front of paparazzi and tourists off the coast of Santa Barbara, Calif., during a recent outing.

In a series of photos published by the Daily Mail on Saturday that were reportedly taken last month, Perry, 40, was seen in a black one-piece with Trudeau, 53, going shirtless in a pair of jeans as they nuzzled into one another and kissed aboard her 24-metre yacht, the Caravelle.

“She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out. I didn’t realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau,” one eyewitness told the outlet.

Another source told the British tabloid that Perry is “very interested” in the former Liberal leader, who resigned as prime minister earlier this year.

“Katy is very, very interested in him. She says he’s a real catch, a high-quality guy. She keeps a lot of details to herself, but she clearly still likes him a lot,” said the insider, according to Elle. “They just are so busy and in different cities, so they aren’t physically together. But if there’s anyone worth having a long-distance relationship with, it’s him. She likes him a lot. He likes her a lot. I’d even say they’re enamoured.”

Perry split from actor Orlando Bloom in July after nine years together. They share a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

Meanwhile, Trudeau and his wife Sophie Gregoire ended their 18-year marriage in 2023, saying that “after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate.

RUMOURS HAVE SWIRLED FOR MONTHS

Dating rumours swirled around Trudeau and Perry after the pair were spotted dining out at Montreal’s Le Violon in July.

“Katy and Justin were lovely. Very kind and warm with the staff,” the restaurant told National Post in a statement after their outing.

Shortly afterward, photos and videos shared to social media showed Trudeau dancing and singing at Perry’s concert at Montreal’s Bell Centre alongside his 16-year-old daughter, Ella-Grace.

In one video, Trudeau was seen belting out the lyrics to Perry’s 2013 hit, Dark Horse.

“This is like when the 2 worst people you know from high school start dating years after everyone forgot about them,” one person wrote on X.

After photos of the two started making the rounds, satirical website The Onion shared an Instagram post featuring a doctored photo of Bloom and former German chancellor Angela Merkel sharing a meal.

Bloom seemed to enjoy the humorous pic, leaving three clapping emojis in the comments section.
