John Stamos and Jerry O’Connell are friends once more.

It appears the two men have made peace after the Full House star released his tell-all that included plenty on Rebecca Romijn — Stamos’ ex and O’Connell’s current wife.

In Stamos’ 2023 memoir If You Would Have Told Me, he wrote about his 2005 divorce from Romijn, noting how “painful” and “public” it was.

During that time, O’Connell publicly declared he had no interest in reading the book over the tidbits the ex-General Hospital heartthrob revealed about his wife.

But over the weekend, the Stand By Me alum shared a happy-looking selfie with Stamos and his wife Caitlin McHugh at Howie Mandel’s 70th birthday party.

“First @zohrankmamdani and @realdonaldtrump. Then me and @johnstamos,” O’Connell captioned the Instagram post, referencing the recent oddly friendly meeting between New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and the U.S. president.

O’Connell, looking smart in a Toronto Blue Jays jersey, added of Stamos and McHugh: “Gorgeous fam and gorgeous people.”

Mandel took credit for the apparent reconciliation, writing in the comments, “I bring people together. You’re welcome.”

How the feud began

Stamos’ memoir looked at both his personal and professional lives, including his divorce from Romijn, to whom he was married from 1998 to 2005, and how his DUI arrest in 2015 kick-started his journey to sobriety.

The Scream Queens actor told People that his divorce from Romijn “shattered” him, noting that it was “really difficult” to write the chapters on their marriage.

“In my mind back then, she was the devil and I just hated her,” he said while discussing his book.

“I couldn’t believe how much I hated her, and it ruined my life,” Stamos revealed, but he eventually realized he played “some part” in their split.

“You start thinking, ‘She wasn’t the devil. Maybe I was as much to blame as her.’”

The following month, O’Connell appeared on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM radio show and told the host he didn’t have “any interest” in reading the book after learning Stamos accused the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds star of cheating during their relationship and admitted he felt “emasculated” during their marriage as Romijn “outgrew” him.

“My children are 14 and they see what we see now,” O’Connell said at the time. “There’s no hiding, there’s no more keeping things from them. It’s pretty crazy when your kids come out for breakfast and go, ‘Hey mom, your ex has a book out and called you the devil. What are your thoughts?’”

What Romijn has to say about her ex

Stamos, who admitted that he and Romijn have not seen each other since their joint meeting with divorce attorneys, acknowledged that his now-ex-wife “was trying to make it work” before they went their separate ways.

“It was very public, and that was very painful.”

The X-Men actress told Entertainment Tonight in January 2024 that she was “blindsided” by Stamos’ memoir, notably the headlines that came from it.

“I was very surprised by all of that, incredibly shocked actually,” Romijn said at the time.

“But, you know, I don’t really want to help him sell his books based on those headlines. So that’s all I really want to say about it.”

Romijn and O’Connell met in 2004, married in 2007 and their twin daughters were born in 2008.

Stamos tied the knot with McHugh in February 2018. They have a son, Billy, 7.
